Needless to say I have way too many sticky notes stuck in the book now for all the recipes I want to make. Plus, I learned a few new things while reading through several recipes and seeing how they came up with them. I didn't know that adding seltzer water to waffle mixes will keep them airy...can't wait to try that. That mini marshmallows are coated with cornstarch, so you should use the big ones and cut them in half (for sweet potato casserole). What potatos to use and how to slice them for a good roasted potato dish. So many great ideas, and the recipes do not seem dauting at all. Not a lot of exotic ingredients or bizarre cooking methods. The authors/cooks really try to find the easiest but most effective way to cook foods. I have last years Best Of book, and am quite glad I found this one.
